Department of Pharmacy Practice was established to evolve the concept of clinical pharmacy through practice and education and to focus on the importance of the involvement of practicing pharmacists in patient care. To achieve this, a Drug information Centre’ was established at Cauvery medical center, Bangalore. The clinical pharmacy services to Cauvery medical center, Bangalore 350 bedded corporate hospital and other health care settings of this region achieved significant appreciation from the medical fraternity.
The department has established a Patient Counseling Centre’ (PC) to cater the needs of the other health care professionals and the patient community. The regular activities of the department in the hospital include ward round participation, patient medication interview, identifying and analyzing drug related problems , monitoring adverse drug reactions (ADR), providing drug information and counseling at the bed side, etc.
Our practice training is designed to meet the demand of the health care industry, clinical research organization both globally and nationally.
