Relieving the tension of anxious students, the RGUHS announced the IV. B.Pharm results on June 28, 2017. The news came as a great relief for the worried students who had been waiting for the results with bated breath since completion of exams.
This year five ABIPER students secured distinction and many students secured first class.
The IV. B.Pharm results are very crucial as they pave the way ahead for the aspirants to seek admissions to postgraduate academic programmes. In certain cases, IV B.Pharm results are also considered as the minimum eligibility criteria for many entry-level employment opportunities in the government, private pharmaceutical companies and other organizations.
Hearty welcome to the “First year Pharmacy students of ABIPER”. The classes for the first year Pharmacy students for the 2017-2018 academic term will commence from 17/07/2017.
It was a proud occasion for ABIPER – not only was the institute celebrating the annual day in its decennial year, it was also the Graduation Day for the first batch of Pharm.D. students. ABIPER celebrated the Graduation and Annual Day 2017 at the Indoor Stadium on 24th April 2017. Degrees were conferred upon successful M Pharm, Pharm D, B Pharm and Diploma students. The grand function included inspiring speeches by the chief guests and our chairman, followed by a dazzling cultural program by the talented students of ABIPER.

Aditya BIPER organized guest lecture on 23rd March 2017 by eminent statistician Prof. Gangaboraiah, Former Professor, Department of Community Medicine, Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences on topic Statistical analysis. Prof Gangaboraiah elaborated on various headings which include Research statement, Research Question, Research Process, Research Methodology & Statistics. It was very interactive session with students and staff which updated and helped students & staff pursuing their research projects on application aspects of statistics in research methodology
We had invited another speaker Mr. V. Nagarjuna Reddy, Pharmacovigilance Associate-IGICH, Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI). Mr. V. Nagarjuna Reddy had given a seminar on “Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring, Reporting, Role and responsibilities of Pharmacovigilance programme of India” by presenting complete coverage on pharmacovigilance in India.

International Women’s Day is celebrated every year on 8th of March all across the world in different countries in order to focus the achievements and contributions of the women in the society. Staff of ABIPER attended the International Women’s Day celebrations held on 8th of March 2017 at Rajya Vokkaligara Sangha’s Kuvempu Kalakshetra, VV Puram, Bangalore, organized by APTI. Guests were from pharmacy, medical & other fields and they enlightened the women by their motivating speech.

Mrs Ramya K, Asst. Professor of ADITYA BIPER has participated in ORAL session of topic entitled, “COMPUTATIONAL GUIDED DESIGNING OF NOVEL RENIN INHIBITORS”, at the “International Conference on Challenges in Drug Discovery and Delivery (ICCD3 – 2017)” which was held during March 2-4, 2017 at BITS Pilani (Pilani Campus), Pilani, Rajasthan (India).
Industrial visit has its own importance in a career of a student who is pursuing a professional degree. As part of the curriculum of B.Pharm Final year students, industrial visit is mandatory, so as to provide with them the real insight of working procedure of pharmaceutical industry. Students of IV B.Pharm students of Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education and Research (ABIPER) with staff (Dr. H Yogish Kumar and Mrs Akshatha) visited Strides Shasun Ltd. Begaluru on 14th March 2017 to re-equip the working procedure and the current industrial knowledge.
IISc Open Day
IISc was opened to public on March 4, 2017. The ABIPER staff and students visited the campus on that day, when they had an opportunity to explore and experience the activities organized by the institute. There were popular lectures, demonstrations and exhibitions, held in various departments and centers.The students appreciated the experiments demonstrating the “Science to Technology “relationship with the help of basic science. This visit kindled their interest, motivating them to take a practical approach to science.
Every year, the International FIP Congress is organized in a different city in the world,in collaboration with one of FIP’s member associations. Around 3000 pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists from over 100 countries take part in this premier international event, coming together to network, learn, discuss, and to share their experiences in the field of pharmacy. The 76th FIP World Congress of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences was held in Buenos Aires (Argentina),from 28 August – 1 September 2016.Students from ABIPER participated in the program this year. The theme of this year’s congress was “Rising to the challenge: reducing the global burden of disease”.
Guest Lecture is a way of creating awareness in students about advancements in the pharmaceutical industry, especially pertaining to technology. The students acquire an understanding about industry needs, latest technical updates, and avenues for higher education. Mr. Zaheer Abbas Senior Research Scientist – II at Apotex Research Private Limited, Bangalore, gave a very informative talk on “Evolution of pharmaceutical industry and its role in drug product development” in our college premises on 25-02-2017. Our students gained an insight into drug discovery and development, and benefitted immensely from this exposure to an industry perspective. The lecture by Mr. Abbas’s covered the spectrum of drug discovery, emphasizing on discovery, formulation, regulatory affairs, IPR, and clinical trials.
Dr. B.A. Vishwanath, Chairman, ABIPER, succinctly summed up the lecture, bringing to conclusion a very useful and interesting day for the staff and students.
